Divorce Mediation

What is Divorce Mediation?

While every marriage starts with the promise of happily ever after, approximately 50% of first marriages and up to 67% of second marriages end in divorce. When they do, couples are left to decide whether to Mediate or Litigate. Dr Karla is experienced in divorce mediation and can help couples when happily ever after ends in divorce.

Finalizing the process

Through the mediation process, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) will be drafted which will include the tenants of the agreement. At the conclusion of mediation, a final version of the MOU will be provided along with any other information that will be pertinent to your divorce.  Since a final divorce judgment can only be entered by a judge, the party initiating the divorce, the plaintiff, must appear in court, thus, the signing of a marital (divorce) settlement agreement does not divorce you, the final Prove Up stage, upon the signing of the judge does!
